Welcome to St John’s Kindergarten
” A rope swing beckons an invitation. Children blow bubbles, make mud pies, climb in trees. Snow peas, picked fresh from the garden are crunched. Noses sniff the fragrance of a campfire. Eagle eyes search for frogs in the pond or fairies among the flowers. Gentle hands collect the eggs. Lively feet dance and enchanted listeners enjoy stories told by candlelight. Guinea pigs are cuddled and dolls are bathed. Holes are dug and sandcastles decorated. Friendships flourish.”
Choosing a kindergarten is an important decision for any family – it represents the first step on the educational ladder for your child. While you may have experienced daycare before, kindergarten is quite a different place! St. John’s Kindergarten, Kingaroy has a well-earned reputation for offering a genuinely play-based, child-centred curriculum that introduces children to real world learning.
St. John’s is a sessional kindergarten, offering an Approved Kindergarten Program, delivered by a qualified Early Childhood Teacher. We offer a five day per fortnight program (set days) between 8.45am and 3pm during school terms. This means that your child will have the same group of friends to play with every time they come – and the same dedicated, highly qualified and loving staff every day. The maximum number of children per day is only 22!
Some years, we MAY be able to offer places to children who have already turned three, depending on vacancies. Should any three-year-old places be available, they will be only offered to families who have enrolled for the following year and have indicated that they would like to be considered for a junior position. So, if you would like your child to enjoy our kindy for two years, it would be our recommendation to enrol sooner rather than later.
We look forward to sharing our community with you and your child, and to the partnerships that we may foster together.
