Blue Flax Lilly
A hardy perennial bush with a tufted grass like form. It has deep blue fruits and flowers and grows to a height of 1m. Indigenous people used the tough leaves to weave dillies and baskets, and ate the small tasty berries in small amounts. They have a sweet flavour, which becomes nutty once the seeds are chewed. The berries make a bright addition to fruit salad.
